International Grade Packing
Specialized packing personnel follow these basic guidelines for packing goods that will travel overseas:
- Furniture – packed with acid free and ink free newsprint paper and corrugated cardboard, finishing up delicate corners with sponge.
- Dishware, glassware and small ornaments – packing paper and depending on the fragility of the items, additional bubble plastic.
- Dresses and suits – hung on closet type boxes to be transported in an upright way. Folded clothing will be placed on boxes.
- Artwork – packed in packing paper, wrapped in corrugated cardboard and placed in special painting boxes or wooden crates (oils are covered first with silk paper).
- Glass, marble, mirrors, large vases and vases, pianos and antiques –packed with packing paper and corrugated cardboard and placed in wooden boxes.
